Our regional coordinators
After several years of work in the South Caucasus, we came to the conclusion
that we could intensify activities of our group providing that we find
on-site coordinators who would support us actively.
Responsibilities of our on-site coordinators are as follows:
- Creating and maintaining computer data and network on the missing in
the course of Karabagh conflict;
- Strengthening the regular on-site tracing work of our group;
- Intensifying our contacts with official structures and NGOs’ in the
zone of the Karabagh conflict;
- Establishing contacts and exchange of experience with the human rights
activists, conflictologists, etc. dealing with other conflicts in the
South Caucasus (for example, in Abkhazia);
- Following up destines of former POWs and hostages and rendering them
rehabilitation and reintegration assistance;
- Making our work maximally professional.
Since November 2000 our group has been carrying out its on-site activities
through coordinators:
Armenia - Karine Minasyan, director of ‘Prisoners-of-war, Hostages and
Missing People Rights Protection Center’ NGO,
Azerbaijan – Avaz Hasanov, director of ‘Society for
Humanitarian Researches of Azerbaijan’ NGO,
Region of Nagorno Karabakh – Albert Voskanyan,
director of ‘Center for Civil Initiatives of Nagorno Karabagh’
NGO.
